Meet our Pastors of Legacy 9:12 and why partner with this ministry

Meet the Senior Pastor of Legacy 9:12 Pastor Drew Anderson

After earning a degree in Speech Communications in 2000, Drew’s athletic gifts opened the door to a professional football career. As a linebacker in the NFL, he played for the Denver Broncos and the Arizona Cardinals, experiencing the excitement and discipline that come with competing at the highest level. Yet even during his football career, Drew recognized that his true passion extended beyond the game. He devoted himself to mentoring children, young adults, and men, using his platform to inspire others to pursue purpose, integrity, and excellence.

When injuries brought his playing career to an end, Drew embraced a new mission. Trading his helmet for a coach’s whistle, he poured his heart into developing young athletes as a football coach at Mountain Pointe High School in Arizona. His influence reached far beyond the football field, as he became a trusted mentor who instilled character, perseverance, leadership, and sportsmanship in the lives of countless middle and high school students.

In 2009, Drew returned to Phoenix, Arizona, where God began a powerful work in his life. During this season, he experienced a spiritual reawakening while attending Kingdom in the Valley. Under the mentorship of his dear friend, Pastor Reginald Steele, Drew’s relationship with God deepened, and he embraced the unmistakable call into ministry.

In 2010, Drew united in marriage and ministry with his wife, Pastor Kenya Anderson. Together, they have built not only a loving family of six children but also a thriving spiritual family committed to serving their community with compassion and excellence. In August 2017, they founded Legacy 9:12, a ministry dedicated to restoring hope, strengthening families, and leading people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

Today, Pastor Drew Anderson faithfully serves as the Lead Pastor of Legacy 9:12 in Phoenix, Arizona, where his leadership continues to transform lives through biblical teaching, discipleship, and community outreach. His influence extends beyond the local church as he also serves as the Chaplain for the NFL Alumni Association of Arizona, providing spiritual guidance, encouragement, and pastoral care to former professional athletes and their families.

Pastor Drew is equally passionate about advocating for education and youth development. He has been a respected voice in promoting educational awareness and has worked alongside community leaders to support legislation that creates safer and more supportive learning environments for Arizona students. As an ambassador for education, he continues to champion opportunities that empower young people to succeed both academically and personally.

Whether preaching from the pulpit, mentoring future leaders, encouraging former athletes, or advocating for the next generation, Pastor Drew Anderson leads with humility, conviction, and unwavering faith. His life is a living testimony that God can use every challenge, every setback, and every victory to fulfill a greater purpose.

Pastor Drew Anderson’s story is still being written—one sermon, one prayer, one act of service, and one transformed life at a time—leaving a lasting legacy of faith, leadership, hope, and love for generations to come.

Meet our Co-Executive Pastor of Legacy 9:12 Pastor Kenya Anderson of Legacy 9:12

In the vibrant streets of South Central Los Angeles, California, a young girl named Kenya Anderson discovered her purpose at the tender age of 9, dedicating her life to Christ. From that moment forward, her journey became a living testimony of faith, resilience, compassion, and God’s transforming power.

Pastor Kenya later relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, where she graduated from South Mountain High School and pursued a career in cosmetology. Her passion for helping others led her to become the proud owner of Aura Hair Studio, where she has spent 25 years empowering individuals not only through beauty services but also through encouragement, mentorship, and spiritual guidance.

Committed to lifelong learning and community impact, Pastor Kenya earned certifications in Behavioral Health Services, equipping her to support better individuals and families facing life’s challenges. Her heart for people extends far beyond the salon and church walls, allowing her to minister to those in need with both professional insight and genuine compassion.

Alongside her husband, Pastor Drew Anderson, Pastor Kenya co-founded Legacy 9:12 in August 2017, a ministry dedicated to strengthening families, transforming lives, and serving the South Phoenix community. Together they lead a beautiful family of six children while shepherding a growing congregation committed to faith, outreach, and community development.

Pastor Kenya is an accomplished speaker who has been honored to participate in numerous conferences, women’s events, leadership forums, community gatherings, and faith-based speaking engagements. Her powerful testimony and authentic delivery inspire audiences to overcome adversity, embrace God’s purpose, and walk boldly in faith.

As a survivor and advocate, Pastor Kenya passionately raises awareness for cancer survivors, cancer prevention, neurological disorders, and Stiff Person Syndrome—a rare neurological autoimmune condition she personally battles. Through her transparency and courage, she encourages others facing health challenges to remain steadfast, resilient, and hopeful in their journey. Her advocacy efforts have enabled her to educate communities, support survivors, and raise awareness of often-overlooked neurological conditions.

In addition to her pastoral leadership, Pastor Kenya is the founder of God’s Daughter Women’s Ministry, with 800+ women, a thriving movement dedicated to empowering women through biblical teaching, fellowship, healing, and spiritual growth. Through this ministry, countless women have found encouragement, restoration, and renewed purpose.

Whether serving through ministry, community outreach, behavioral health advocacy, public speaking, or mentoring women and youth, Pastor Kenya remains committed to demonstrating God’s love in practical ways. Her life reflects a powerful message: that no obstacle, diagnosis, or hardship can prevent God from fulfilling His purpose.

Pastor Kenya Anderson is more than a pastor, entrepreneur, advocate, and speaker—she is a beacon of hope, faith, healing, and transformation whose impact continues to reach lives across communities and generations.
